THIS IS
KRZYSZTOF RATAJSKI

Krzysztof Ratajski is a Polish professional darts player who has established himself over many years as the most successful competitor from Eastern Europe. Known by his nickname “The Polish Eagle”, Ratajski has become a symbol of Poland’s rise on the international darts stage.

He began his career in soft-tip darts, where he won international titles as early as the mid-2000s. At the same time, he transitioned into steel-tip darts and qualified for the BDO World Championship for the first time in 2009. In that same year, he claimed the Polish national title, an early indication of his considerable talent. Over the following years, Ratajski regularly represented his country at the World Cup of Darts, gaining valuable experience on the televised stage.

His international breakthrough came in 2017 with a sensational victory at the World Masters. Still without a Tour Card, Ratajski went on to win multiple ProTour titles, firmly establishing his reputation. Those performances earned him a PDC Tour Card in 2018, after which he quickly became a permanent fixture on the circuit. Further ProTour titles followed, along with consistent appearances at the sport’s biggest major tournaments.

The 2020 and 2021 seasons marked a peak period in his career. Quarter-final runs at the World Championship, the World Matchplay and the World Grand Prix demonstrated that Ratajski could compete with the very best on the biggest stages. His first televised title narrowly eluded him, including a semi-final appearance at the World Series Finals.

Like any long career, his journey was not without setbacks. In 2022 and 2023, consistency proved elusive at times, with early exits at major events alternating with deep tournament runs. One standout moment was his surprise triumph at the German Darts Open in 2023, a clear reminder of how dangerous he can be at his best.

Ratajski remained a regular presence on tour throughout 2024, even if a major breakthrough proved elusive. At the World Cup of Darts, he reached the last 16 alongside Radek Szaganski, while at the World Championship he narrowly missed out on a place in the last 16 after letting match darts slip away.

In 2025, Ratajski rediscovered his best form. A ProTour title marked his return to winning ways and confirmed that “The Polish Eagle” was far from finished. He carried that momentum into the 2026 World Darts Championship, where he reached the quarter-finals once again — matching his best run from 2021 and reaffirming his pedigree on the sport’s biggest stage.

This is Krzysztof Ratajski.
A pioneer. A perennial favorite. A Polish champion.
