"The Train" ended the spirited challenge of Kevin Münch with a 4:2 victory in the last 32 of the PDC World Darts Championship. Kevin Münch led the match 2:1 and had chances to lead 3:1, but Farmer produced a great comeback.
Kevin Münch showed all his talent in winning the first set 3:0 before Farmer hit a 79 finish in the first leg of set two. Both players held the advantage of throw and Steve Farmer tied the game.
Farmer broke throw in the third leg but missed two darts to win the set in the next, and Kevin hit double ten with a pressure third dart to level. The deciding leg saw Farmer miss three more darts to win the set and Kevin lead the match for the second time after hitting the double 16.
Both players held their throw in the first four legs of set four. Kevin Münch had the big chance to take a 3:1 lead but he could not capitalise on seven missed darts for set from his opponent in the decider. So Farmer could square the game for a second time.
Kevin was thinking too much about his miss chances and lost the next set 0:3. But Kevin Münch was fighting for a comeback and tied the game in set six with finishes of 121 and 143. But the young BULL'S Team Member was off target in the deciding leg and landed double 16 to win the match.
It was a great fight by Kevin Münch who could be proud of his World Championship debut.
