Kevin Münch made a strong debut at the PDC World Darts Championship with a 4:2 victory over Malaysia's Lee Choon Peng.
The highlight of this Preliminary Round Game was the superb 12-dart leg, completed with a 155 checkout, from Kevin to take the second leg. The BULL'S Team Member secured a break of throw to win the third leg and hit the double 10 to increase his lead to 3:1.
A double 2 in the sixth leg was enough für Kevin to set up a first round clash against Denis Ovens later on Saturday evening.
Kevin Münchs return to the big stage in the Ally Pally with a brilliant first set against "The Heat". Kevin won the set wirh 15, 12 and 16 darts.
But Denis Ovens was forced to retire from the match after this set. He came into the contest complaining of a trapped nerve in his back and the problem forced him to concede.
So Kevin Münch received a bye and he will now face Steve Farmer next friday for a place in the last 16.
