The Gentle wins his first PDC Title at the International Darts Open

A record 3500 Fans packed the Sachsen Arena in Riesa on Sunday night, to witness Mensur Suljovic beat Kim Huybrechts in a thrilling match, clinching victory in the deciding leg.
Huybrechts took the first leg, before Mensur battled back to take legs 2 and 3.
A brilliant 132 Bull check out saw Huybrechts draw level at 2-2, only for Mensur to take the next two legs with some impressive finishing to lead 4-2. This enthralling match took another twist as Kim took the next three legs to edge into a 5-4 lead, however, The Gentle showed his undoubted battling qualities to take the next leg to force a winner takes all nailbiting decider.
Huybrechts had the the advantage of starting the last leg and looked in control leaving 130 with his first 9 Darts. Nevertheless, there was huge drama as Huybrechts missed 9 match Darts to gift a surprised looking Mensur, the chance to take out 52 and claim the Title.
The Gentle needed no 2nd invitation converting double 16, before dropping to his knees in celebration.
